Lois's Story
Hear it!
Dennis: How often do you get bored? Today on Passages, Lois shares a change of pace that is delightful. Lois: Driving hasn't bothered me, the fact that I quit driving. I decided that although living out of town, I don't see friends who I would like to see. Dennis: A 93-year-old woman ponders on the changes in her lifestyle. This is Passages. I'm Dennis Benson and today, Lois shares the joys of life. Lois: I did go to church on Sunday. It's not easy. My frustration is my back, that's it, 'cause there are so many things I want to do. Oh there's always gonna be things to do, and good things. Dennis: As Lois talks, we sit in front of a window and look at the birds. Lois: Oh, those birds! The middle window, Ken put a bird feeder with a little ledge. The birds come, sit on a ledge there. And the chickadees especially. And they'll say, "Chick-a-dee-dee!" They thank us before they eat. They're so friendly. See they don't mind. "Hi little guys!" Dennis: Call a homebound friend today. Lois' spirit is a challenge from your Presbyterian and United Methodist friends.
