Mose's Story
Hear it!
Dennis: He had a big voice and a big heart. Fame led to despair. Today on Passages Mose reflects on the gift of music.
Mose: I don't know what any melody I have created or lyric I have written what kind of response it evokes in someone else.
Dennis: A former folk music star talks about his art.
Mose: It's like asking a painter, "What did you mean by that ZZZZZZZZ," on his painting. He doesn't know because that's just what he felt he should do there. Dennis: This is Passages where people offer their stories of creativity. I'm Dennis Benson and today Mose shares how drugs threatened his music. Mose: I write in simple melodies because I feel that I can contribute a sound that can span time that's important enough for me to dedicate my life to. That and to the service of Jesus Christ. Two vital forces. Because to me, Christ and creativity are one and the same. Dennis: Mose' second chance is a challenge from your Presbyterian and United Methodist friends. © Copyright by Dennis C.
